He began his insurance career as a Commercial Lines Underwriter with the Chubb Insurance Group.In 1989, he joined A.J. Renner & Associates in Chicago, Illinois as a wholesale broker before moving to their California branch in 1990. There, he fostered a small start-up and turned it into a large, independent wholesaler. In 1999, Chris and his partner bought out the California branch to form Sterling West Insurance Services, Inc. (Sterling West), with offices in Glendale and Orange County. Sterling West experienced rapid growth with annual written premium in excess of $200 million while continuing to penetrate markets throughout the Western States. In 2005, Sterling West was acquired by CRC Insurance Services where Chris remained President of CRC/Sterling West Insurance Services specializing in Casualty, Property and Professional Lines. A graduate of Michigan State, Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.He is very involved in his community through his activities with Campbell Hall Episcopal School and Children's Hospital.
